About Us
The Eastern DHC Express provides district-based primary healthcare services through health promotion, diseases prevention, health assessment & consultation and chronic diseases management (e.g. hypertension, diabetes and musculoskeletal disorders etc.) to enhance public awareness of self-management of health. The Eastern DHC Express helps strengthen the involvement of individuals and communities, plans and coordinates among various medical and social sectors and aims to encourage the public to take precautionary measures against chronic diseases, enhance their capability in self‑care and home care, and reduce the demand for hospitalisation.
Health Bureau awarded the 3-year operation service contract of Eastern DHC Express to The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation.

Our Services

Important Notice
📍 Please note the following arrangements for the ED DHCE center during severe weather:
- During the effective period of the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal or higher, services at the Eastern District Health Centre Express, including the Core center and Chai Wan service point, will be suspended. The center will be closed, and all indoor and outdoor activities will be canceled.
- The center will open and services will be resumed 2 hours after the warning signal is cancelled or lowered to No. 3.
- If the No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal is canceled less than three hours before the center’s closing time, the Core center and Chai Wan service point will remain closed for that day.
- Service users who cannot attend individual appointments or have any inquiries due to severe weather can call after the center resumes services:

Vaccination has been scientifically proven to be one of the most effective means to prevent severe cases of seasonal influenza and its complications. 2025-2026 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme is now open for enrollment. Eligible groups can receive a free seasonal influenza vaccine through the government vaccination programme.
Target group: persons aged 50 years or above (count by year of birth).
Non-subsidized group: Price varies with different medical partners providing the vaccine. Please contact our staff for details.

The following eligible target groups can receive a free seasonal influenza vaccine through the government vaccination programme.
Eligible target groups:
- Persons aged 50 years or above
- Persons aged 18-49 with chronic illness/intellectual or physical disability
- Poultry workers, pig farmers and pig-slaughtering industry personnel
- Healthcare workers
